Achei o tema de interesse, mas não consegui traduzir muito bem a mensagem,
para poder estar comentando algo.
Se alguem puder ajudar...
ps. já estão na terra aguardando as chuvas que Deus nos enviará, 07
variedades de feijões selvagens, além de uma variedade de milho branco e um
cereal de origem andina- Quinuá.
Farão parte de um banco de sementes comunitário. ( mais informações em
breve!!!!)

Prezados participantes da lista.
Eu gostaria de falar mais sobre híbridos, assim coloco esta mensagem
chamando o assunto da replicação.
O conceito que tenho é que a natureza regula os hibridos em uma
proporção pequena, insignificante para sua reprodução.
Refugar híbridos nos planos de consumo e produção seria um aspecto
harmonico com a natureza.
Esta harmonia seria necessária em plano terapêutico, espedialmente
nos mais incisivos.

This remains biological nonsense. We have considered if such a technology
could be used to suppress weeds by seed sterility, and there is no way that
it could work even there. Why? Pollen has to get between the GE and
non-GE plants in a high enough frequency to cause a high proportion of the
seeds to be sterile. If even 50% of the GE pollen gets onto the
neighboring crop, it can only account for 33% sterility (50 GE pollen
grains for every 150 GE and Non-GE pollen grains). Even at the 2% (or
whatever) that even Greenpeace has documented to be about the maximum
pollen spread at 10 meters, this would cause less than sterility of 2% of
the seed! In terms of crop emergence, this wouldn't have any impact at
all. In most crops, crops will give exactly the same yields over a two
fold density of seeds due to crop compensation.
Seed sterility is not on, but lets not allow confusion about basic pollen
biology.
